Levels of cardiac function index in the two study groups before or after PCI procedure. The post-procedure level of BNP (A) and MMP-9 (B) decreased while CK-MB (C) increased compared with pre-procedure in both groups, which were all significantly lower in active group than the control group. The echocardiography determined the reduce of LVEDD (D) and LVESD (E) and the increase of LVEF (F) in both groups after procedure, while the changes were more prominent in the active group than in the control group. *** indicates P < 0.001; ### indicates P < 0.001 relative to control group post-procedure
